Blissful Blabs 2012 January 14 to 19

Day one of a very crazy weekend of looking at homes with Tom’s new clients. Today is Stanwood and Camano Island. I had never been to Camano so it was fun to explore a new place. We some some really beautiful places and some very odd places.
After we got done showing property we stopped by the Skagit Valley Co-op. I now have deli envy. Their deli is amazing, the salad bar had cold salads or hot foods and 3 different delicious soup choices. Not to mention the homemade iceream and warm chocolate chip cookies. Are you taking notes Bellingham Co-op?

Today was part two of driving marathon and we headed to Whidbey Island. We drove from the very top of the Island to almost the very bottom (Freeland).
The funniest part of the trip was the last house we looked at had a note in the remarks that none of the “yard art” was staying including the plow and the windmill. I envisioned small yard art sized windmill. Oh no it was HUGE. A full sized windmill. I couldn’t stop laughing about the crazy things people do.
Oh and we got snow in Bellingham to, starting to really accumulate.

Thought this was so cute:
Lots of snow and now it is starting to get cold….brrr.

Went with Tom and his client for a wintery walk since we had hardly any patients at work and I got off early.

Brrr Shy has the right idea about what to do on a snow day. Another early day at work.

Temp this morning 16 degrees. Wow 4 degrees warmer then yesterday. Still compact snow and ice on the roads. Yay for Beastie.
My song dedication to everyone driving in Whatcom County:
After a relatively uneventful morning with very few patients I decided to tackle getting HP to send us a new printer head. It needed it last time but they assured me I just needed to change the colored ink. Apparently you need pink, blue and yellow ink in the new printers to make black. I did this last week and we are already out of colored ink even though I have not printed anything in color. Spent a very frustrating 1 hour and 15 minutes on the phone with an equally frustrated Customer Service Rep. He did not speak English and I did not speak hisĀ languageĀ so everything had to be repeated about 10 times. Finally after being put on hold for 60 minutes out of the 75 minutes I finally was helped by a supervisor (I had demanded one) and was helped in 5 minutes with my problem. I should not have gone through that painful frustrating time. sigh. Not only that he kept trying to sell me an extended warranty as the printer was going to be out of warranty in 24 days. I declined and told him I wanted it under the current still active warranty thank you very much. sigh.
Another short day glad to go home after my day with HP. I am so ready for the snow to end. The snow BTW that I did not wish for thank you very much. I would be perfectly happy if it just rained all Winter

I am definitely going to need to take a trip to the Skagit Coop Deli! Can’t believe that experience with HP. HORRIFIC!
Your notes about the windmill remind me of my dad. My parents have a huge! John Deere tractor color (yes, that’s grass green and safety yellow) windmill behind the house. Makes me wonder if they were to move again, if he would take it with him. And the gazebo.
it would certainly make for and interesting move if he did
