Blissful Blabs 2012 January 20 to 22

New graphic I made for Tom’s Facebook page using the picture from our snow walk the other day. It is very simple but I like it.
After a full day at work (yay finally) had a totally unhealthy dinner of Pizza and delicious chocolate chip cookies for dinner. Then watched Rise of the Plant of the Apes.
During experiments to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, a genetically-enhanced chimpanzee uses its greater intelligence to lead other apes to freedom.
It was ok but not nearly as good as I thought it was going to be.

Went to the library and picked up War Horse, Rode and the Descendents. I am going to be so busy. I wish that all the books on my list wouldn’t come in all at once. I am still trying to finish Games of Thrones.
Then it was some laundry (at my mom and dads house so much better then the laundry mat) and delicious spaghetti and meatball dinner with crusty multigrain bread from avenue bread. Yum.
Watched Cowboys and Aliens.
A spaceship arrives in Arizona, 1873, to take over the Earth, starting with the Wild West region. A posse of cowboys and natives are all that stand in their way.
I realized after watching it (a little slow) that it was like an old fashioned Western just modernized a bit. Probably why it was slow

Lazy day staying in PJ’s catching up on editing photos and blogs. Had scrambled eggs in my favorite sprouted grain tortillas and some chocolate chip cookies and TJ’s Vanilla Cinnamon Black tea for breakfast.
Funny stuff on facebook this morning.
Harry Met Sally Faked Orgasm scene with movie clips
and of course Star Wars Uncut: Director’s Cut
“…thousands of Internet users…remake “Star Wars: A New Hope” into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted. ..Finally, the crowd-sourced project has been stitched together and put online for your streaming pleasure. The “Director’s Cut” is a feature-length film that contains hand-picked scenes from the entire StarWarsUncut.com collection…”
Finally got dressed about 3:30pm to go work out. Yes I am really motivated with the warrior dash coming up in 183 days – figured that out with a cool website: timeanddate.com . Gulp. My goal is to try and get my arm strength up (my biggest weakness and a huge need for warrior dash) and to be able to walk/run/shuffle around Lake Paddon two times (aprox 5 miles)
Watched Hannah
A 16-year-old who was raised by her father to be the perfect assassin is dispatched on a mission across Europe, tracked by a ruthless intelligence agent and her operatives.
I really enjoyed it. Be warned it is very violent but if you enjoyed La Femme Nikata then this should be on your list. Very European movie as far as music and film style.

I have decided to track my weight every Sunday. I am up 8 lbs from the summer but not to stressed due to my lack of exercise. Will be interesting to see where I end up by this summer as I am starting out a few lbs lighter then last year at this time.

I haven’t seen any of those movies yet. The Star Wars film sounds pretty interesting. So glad the weather is back to normal (even with those darn wind storms!)
I totally want to know how War Horse is. I didn’t know it was a book.
I will try to remember to review it after I read it, it is a young adult book so very short and should be a quick read.
